Repair your teeth and get your smile back

Are you ready to smile again?

It doesn’t matter if you got too enthusiastic while eating peanuts, slipped on some ice, or slightly overturned your wine glass and chipped one of your front teeth. Rest assured that we can give you back your smile!

Tooth bonding is a cosmetic dental procedure used to improve the appearance of teeth and restore a beautiful smile. It’s also an effective solution for quickly repairing one or a few teeth.

Ask us about tooth bonding! Our Waxhaw team will help you get the results you need.

What is tooth bonding?

Tooth bonding is the application of a composite resin that’s put onto the tooth surface and then solidified under ultraviolet light. It’s the same substance used in composite dental fillings, and it matches the color of your teeth to create a beautiful, natural-looking appearance.

What dental problems does tooth bonding solve?

Tooth bonding is best for minor changes in an overall healthy mouth, including:

  • Repairing a stained tooth
  • Closing a gap between teeth
  • Fixing minor cracks and chips
  • Improving the shape or length of a tooth

Tooth bonding vs. veneers: Which one do I need?

Dental bonding and porcelain veneers are both excellent options for enhancing your smile and fixing minor flaws like cracks, stains, and gaps. You must weigh the pros and cons of each method to make the best choice.

  • Porcelain veneers are coverings that are placed on the front surface of your tooth. Before placing the dental implants, your dentist usually needs to remove part of the enamel from your natural teeth. Because of this, the treatment cannot be reversed.
  • Veneers require replacement every 10 to 20 years.
Dental bonding doesn’t require significant enamel loss. However, you’ll require a retouch on your tooth or teeth every 10 years.

At MillBridge Dentistry, we’re ready to carefully look into your case and work together to offer the best and most comprehensive care.

The tooth bonding process

This is a really simple process. Most of the time, dental bonding doesn’t even need anesthetic because, unlike other dental treatments, it doesn’t have to change any dental structure.

1.

Your dentist carefully selects a composite resin that closely resembles the color of your teeth.

2.

We’ll prepare your tooth by coating it with an adhesive.

3.

Your dentist will apply the bonding substance to the surface of your tooth, shaping it to match the contour of your tooth.

4.

Once the desired shape has been achieved, the material is hardened using a curing light.

5.

We’ll polish the tooth to give the tooth a beautiful, natural look.

Is tooth bonding covered by dental insurance?

It depends on your insurance plan. Our office accepts most major dental insurance, including the providers below. We’ll help you understand what your plan covers and what costs to expect.
